Why do you want to participate?
As someone from Taiwan, a country that deeply values freedom, democracy, and human rights. I believe it is meaningful and important to participate in this event. Taiwan’s history has shown how precious freedom can be, and I feel a strong responsibility to contribute to global discussions on how we can protect and promote freedom for future generations. It’s also a unique and inspiring opportunity to connect with young people from around the world, exchange ideas, and collectively shape a vision for a freer, more peaceful future.
What does freedom mean to you?
Growing up in Taiwan, I’ve come to understand freedom not just as a concept, but as a lived experience. It means being able to speak your mind, access truthful information, participate in fair elections, and live without fear of censorship or repression. Freedom empowers people to express their identity, pursue their dreams, and stand up for what they believe in. To me, it also carries a sense of responsibility to protect it, to use it wisely, and to ensure that others have access to the same rights and opportunities.
What are the biggest challenges?
I think that ensuring privacy and combating misinformation on the internet are the biggest freedom challenges nowadays.
Do you have a message?
No, looking forward to seeing everyone.
